On the occasion of Basant Panchami, here is a poem straight from my heart for all of you ……
અંતમાં આરંભ અને આરંભમાં અંત.
અંતમાં આરંભ અને આરંભમાં અંત.
પાનખરના હૈયામાં ટહુકે વસંત.
સોળ વરસની વય, ક્યાંક કોયલનો લય,
કેસૂડાંનો કોના પર ઊછળે પ્રણય?
ભલે લાગે છે રંક પણ ભીતર શ્રીમંત.
પાનખરના હૈયામાં ટહુકે વસંત.
આજે તો વનમાં કોના વિવાહ,
એક એક વૃક્ષમાં પ્રકટે દીવા.
આશીર્વાદ આપવા આવે છે સંત.

Rises the cooing of spring…
At sweet sixteen, melody of a cuckoo within

अंत में आरंभ है, आरंभ में है अंत,
हिय में पतझर के कूजता वसंत।
सोलह बरस की वय, कहीं कोयल की लय,
किस पर है उछल रहा पलाश का प्रणय ?
लगता हो रंक भले, भीतर श्रीमंत
हिय में पतझर के कूजता वसंत।
किसकी शादी है, आज यहाँ बन में ?
फूट रहे, दीप-दीप वृक्षों के तन में
देने को आशीष आते हैं संत,
